Presenting Cristina Liliana Nicole

This is Maddie's newest cousin. Cristina was born on December 6th. I have not finished all of the editing, just the bare essentials to make the Christmas deadline. I will post more as I get them done. She is such a good baby and was sooo good to work with. This is one of the versions. Congrats Pete & Rita!

Grace Miller Elementary's 2008 Holiday Program

Maddie's teacher took this pic. Each of the kids posed with the hippo. One of the songs they sang for the program was, "All I want for Christmas is a Hippopotamus for Christmas."

Crazy Hair Day

Maddie participated in her school's Walk-a-Thon, which is also Crazy Hair Day. Maddie's hair was sprayed different colors. She walked 20 laps to raise funds for her school. Thank you to all who sponsored Maddie to enable her to raise funds for her schools' extra-curricular activities, like Family Fun Night, the birthday book program, etc. It means a lot to us!

We had a cool surprise that morning. As Maddie was getting her hair sprayed in the driveway, a large flock of parrots were flying from tree to tree right next to our home. It was sooooo cool! They were such a pretty green color.

My Little Soccer Star!

Maddie has been doing just a fabulous job this season!!!! Her defensive skills are unstoppable! During one game she shut the offense down when we were down 3 players (7 vs 4)! She has also had 2 hat-tricks (hat-trick = scoring 3 goals in one game!) Go Maddie!!!!!

Maddie's 6th Birthday

Maddie's birthday party was a lot of fun!!! She had a blast! It was a Wonder Woman/Superman (superhero) party. The superheroes defeated the villians! Yay!!!!!! They were drenched by the barrage of water balloons! Thanks to all who helped to make this happen!!!!!

Cal Poly Pomona's Arabian Horse Show

I think it is safe to say, Maddie LOVES riding horses. She just lights up when she is riding. On Sunday, we attended Cal Poly Pomona's famous Arabian Horse Show. Maddie loved the Arabian costume one of the riders wore celebrating Cal Poly's Arabian heritage. It was sooo cool to see the trick ponies doing their thing too.

In a couple of years, Maddie will probably be able to ride a horse all by herself! Then she can teach her mommy. :-)

I absolutely love this picture of Maddie. It was such a beautiful day, it was hard not to enjoy it. Hard to believe that it was raining just the day before!

1st Day of 1st Grade!

Today is Maddie's 1st day of 1st Grade! She was sooooo excited this morning! She got dressed in her special Hannah Montana outfit, helped to make breakfast and her lunch. If only all mornings were as easy as this one! :-) My little girl is growing up!
